Where? Atlanta Community Food Bank, 732 Joseph E. Lowery Blvd., Atlanta 30318

A community outreach opportunity for all Phis and their families! In preparation for the holiday season, we will help one of the country's leading food banks that supports a wide range of people in need from children to the working poor. This charitable, hands-on experience will focus on donating our time to the Product Rescue Center (PRC), where we'll sort goods from food drives, grocery stores and manufacturers. Children ages 8 and older are invited to participate. Please RSVP so we know how many people to expect. Please note: Everyone MUST wear closed-toed shoes. No sandals or flip flops! For directions to the Food Bank, visit the Atlanta Community Food Bank. Please do not use online mapping programs as they have incorrect street names for this area of town.

After parking, follow the signs and sidewalk-with-railing to the PRC entrance, located at the rear of the building. Everyone is invited to go out to lunch following the event (around noon). Swirly ivy

February 2006
Swirly ivy Paint the Town Red! - Come to the annual Alpha Phi Foundation Fundraising Event this Thursday at Mary Ulich's house at 7 p.m. We will eat red food, drink red drinks, and play red trivia. We'll also learn heart healthy facts and have a red raffle to raise funds for the Alpha Phi Foundation. Please bring something red (new or white elephant!) to be raffled (have it wrapped or hidden in a bag). Raffle tickets will be for sale for $1 each, and you can buy as many as you want so you can take home a red surprise and support a great cause! Contact hostess Mary Ulich for more information or to RSVP at Marulich@aol.com.

Besides supporting programs working with heart disease, Foundation provides funds for our sisters in need. The Forget-Me-Not fund is for needy and deserving Alpha Phis who are aged, disabled or are experiencing an unforeseen financial emergency. If you find yourself or another in need of this service I have the application.

BIG CHANGE
New Pre-Paint the Town Red Dinner - I found out that the Atlanta Bread Co. has closed. (Thank you Mary Jane!) So I have changed the location to Jason's Deli on 7300 North Point Pky. If you turn on to North Point Pky from Mansell it is before the mall and if you turn right on to North Point Pky from Haynes Bridge it is after the mall. I have a training in Woodstock that day until 4:30 so I may not be there at 5 like I hoped but I will be there shortly after. Several of us discussed that it would be easier for several of us to come straight to Alpharetta from work but it got us there too early for the meeting so why not meet for dinner. Then we can tailgate over to Mary's for the meeting. Please let me know if you are thinking of coming so I get a big enough table. junebug@alumnae.alphaphi.org
