How to Join a Sorority

There are two ways to go Greek on the St. Mary's campus: Formal Recruitment and Informal Recruitment. Each has its advantages and disadvantages--it's up to you to decide which method is best for you.

Formal Recruitment is a period of time set aside by the Panhellenic Council for meeting potential new members. In Formal Recruitment, potential members attend a series of parties, visiting all sororities and meeting their members.

Informal Recruitment is a casual version of member recruitment. Informal usually lasts just a few days and each group recruits on their own, on an as needed basis. Many prefer the relaxed atmosphere of Informal.

So You're Interested, What Now?!

If you are interested in Alpha Phi, we invite you to complete our potential member contact form. Then, if you are interested in Formal Recruitment, get in touch with the St. Mary's Panhellenic office.
