Alpha Phi Supports Women's Heart Projects
Our chapter supports the Women's Heart Program at The Cardiovascular Center at the George Washington University Hospital.
Located at 2131 K Street NW, Suite 600 (202-715-5400), the Women's Heart Program is dedicated to the prevention, early detection and treatment of heart disease in women. The program provides personalized expert management of women who are at increased risk or who have known cardiovascular disease. The goals of the center are to:
Prevent cardiovascular disease in women
Provide early diagnosis of cardiovascular disease
Provide gender-appropriate treatment
Provide the necessary tools and motivation to pursue lifestyle changes
Address the disparity in women's heart health status
Increase women's access to heart-related research trials
